nuRING April, the Institute of Road
Transpart Engineers will hold the following meetings:—March 30, Western Group: Modern Engine Testing, by S. G. Mundy, of Crypton Equipment, Ltd., at the Grand Hotel, Bristol, 7 p.m. April 3, Scottish Centre: Minimizing the Fear of Fire in Transport, by J. Black, at the Institution of Shipbuilders, Glasgow, 7.30 p.m.
In the North-West Centre, the annual dinner and dance will be held on April 15, at Reece's Restaurant, Liverpool, at 7 p.m., and the paper by S. G. Mundy. mentioned above, will be read at the Engineers' Club, Manchester, at 7 p.m., on April 19. Modern developments of the oil engine will be the subject of a paper by S. Wightman,
of Albion Motors, Ltd., on April 20, at the Royal Society of Arts, London.
Annual general meetings of the North-East and Scottish Centres will be held on April 20 and 17 respectively, the first at the Hotel Metropole, Leeds, and the second at the Institution of Shipbuilders, Glasgow. An open discussion is scheduled fer the South Wales Group's meeting at the South Wales Institution of Engineers, Cardiff, on April 21, at 6.30 p.m.
The last meeting of the month, that of the Midland Centre, will be held at the Crown Inn, Broad Street, Birmingham, at 7 p.m., on April 28. A paper by W. A. Bevis, of C.A.V., Ltd., entitled "Electrical Equipment for Road Transport Vehicles," will be read.
