• Meanwhile, the Department of Transport has accepted a £1.7 million tender from Fairdough Civil Engineering for the construction of the second Runnymede Bridge, across the River Thames in Berkshire.

The bridge, which will form part of the M25 London Outer Orbital Road, is expected to be completed in about two years time.
