Halley's Latest Passenger Model wc illu.strate on this page one of the latest types of passenger vehicle which has just been delivered by Hadley's In dustriaI Motors, Ltd., of Glasgow, to Mr. William Dunlop, of Greenock, who already owns a number of Halley paseenger-Carrying machines. The vehicle is capable of seating 30 passengers, and it will be noted from the pictures that in some respects it follows Continental practice in that the front portion of the body is normally open, the hood, which serves to cover it in wet weather, being housed at the front of the rear portion, which is permanent. By the use of side windows to the front portion of the body, and by clueing those at the rear, absolute protection can be given to the occupants in any weather. The vehicle can thus give the maximum comfort and convenience all the year round. The centre portion of the rear seat is so constructed that it can be tipped , outwards, and forms two steps when the 'emergency door at the rear is open.

The passenger entrance at the front, which gives access to the interior, is of a particularly safe tYpe, the door covering being extended in order completely to enclose the steps themselves. This form of construction avoids certain risks which exist when the steps actually extend beyond the body width.

in is recent demonstration, the vehicle carrying its full quota of passengers seccessfully climbed to the top of Glen Croe, .to reach which point a very stiff
