The RMT union says employees in Joint Retail Logistics (JR) are furious at only being offered a 20/0 increase after months of drawn-out negotiations.
A ballot on industrial action short of a strike is due to start this week at depots in Enfield, Coventry and Manchester.
Mick Cash, senior assistant general secretary of the union, says: "There are quite a few options open to our members including an overtime ban."
Drivers recruited since 1995 are said to be on the worst terms, working a basic 39-hour week for £224 plus 11 hours obligatory overtime, and 1100 assorted bonuses per week.
A spokeswoman for JR!. says the RMT represents 160 employees out of a total workforce of 850.
"We have a meeting with the union on 7 August, and are very confident that something can be resolved then."
