A MOVE to speed up the payment of compensation to victims of and run drivers has been welcomed by Transport Under Secret Lynda Chalker.

The Motor Insurer's Bureau pays compensation for death or bodily injury in cases where it is clear that had the driver by found, he would have been ble for damages.
