A RANGE of self-propelled scissor lift access platforms originl developed by H. W. Edghill of Hook, Hampshire, for servicing w bodies aircraft is finding applications in other service industries.
The design is based on a standard commercial vehicle chas: Stabiliser jacks are hydraulically operated and interlocked to engine cut-out switch. The two versions available give a height rar of 8.3m(27ft) to 11.3m(37ft) with a platform capacity of 30( (660Ibs) and 100kg (220Ibs) on the platform extension. Hydrat supply may be powered using the battery or driven from the eng via a pto.
