• Mr Michael Hese}tine, MoT Parliamentary Secretary, last week welcomed the experimental scheme the Greater London Council is preparing to ban overnight parking of goods vehicles from specified streets in a limited zone.
The scheme would be of particular interest, he said in the Commons, because of his Department's special study on lorry parking problems in the North West of England.
The GLC hoped to have the scheme in operation by the end of this year, by which time the Ministry study on the North West should have been published.
