We are introducing our latest regional tyre to the market (R-Steer and R-Drive), and this is the perfect opportunity to show it to existing and potential fleet customers. How important is the CV Show to the UK road transport industry?

The CV show is not only the main industry show for the UK, it is also a key show for Europe. Given this context, it is a crucial event for us.

What has been the biggest advance in road transport in the last five years?

Very simply — vehicle telematics. They provide vital information, and will give the opportunity to monitor our success in addressing the reduction of carbon emissions and lowering fuel costs. What is the biggest issue facing transport in the next five years?

Reducing carbon emissions and fuel costs — they're inextricably linked.

How did you first get into the transport industry?

It's in the blood — I inherited it from my father.

What are the best and worst aspects of your job?

The role has enormous variety: retail, wholesale, operations, sales and finance. On the downside, there are never enough hours in the day...
