Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• We should like to tell you the following difficulties we have had with regard to the lack of Italian permits.

"We have asked the IRFO endlessly for Italian permits without results, and therefore are forced to use the very expensive German railway system of Kombi, UK to get to Italy and therefore we "earn" a permit.

To buy permits and have them transferred through the IRFO is costing about half the cost of a new vehicle, which makes its first year of operation almost unprofitable.

We have specialised in volume transport, one of the few British firms capable of running roadtrains of over 120m3 volume. We spend more time hunting permits than loads!

It is common knowledge that Italian operators ignore and bribe their way round the drivers hours regulations, which gives them a colossal edge over finns like ours, which operate strictly within the law.

We hope this letter will help towards this terrible dilemma; we could do with at least thirty more permits! Robertine Nunes Nabarro Downingdale Ltd Rye East Sussex
