EEC DRIVERS HOURS II Following the DTp decision to reimpose drivers hours rules covered by EC regulations 3820/85 drivers should apply the following limits.

E Fixed week — 00.00 Monday to 24.00 Sunday.

111 Daily driving limit nine hours (10 hours twice a week).

El Fortnightly driving limit 90 hours (no weekly Limit).

E Continuous driving 41/2 hours.

O After 41/2 hours a driver must have a break of at least 45 minutes (can be replaced by breaks of at least 15 minutes spread out over driving periods).

E Daily rest 11 hours (nine, three times a week, but made up in following week) or 12 hours if rest in two or three periods.

ID Weekly rest 45 hours (may be 36 or 24 if away from base, provided reduction compensated before end of third week following).

11 Odometer reading at end of last journey must be entered on tachograph chart.

El Drivers must be able to produce charts for week and last driving day of previous week.
