RENAULT DODGE DIAMOND GUARD • Renault Truck Industries has launched a new warranty scheme — called Diamond Guard — which is included in the price of all new 1987 Commando, G and R range commercial vehicles.
Described by RTI as a second and third year major driveline component warranty, Diamond Guard covers engine, gearbox (manual and automatic), original equipment PT0s, propshaft, rear axle housing, crown wheel and pinion, drive shaft and bearings. The maximum individual claim is set at £4,000 on any one repair.
Rh I says Diamond Guard will also cover "reasonable" costs of hiring a similar replacement vehicle after the first 48 hours, and for up to five days per claim.
Diamond Guard cover can be bought for new 1987 Dodge 50 Series models for an extra 2175 on top of the vehicle's list price.
