• Mike Hoban is the new manager of Pickfords Industrial's Chesterfield branch; Kevin Mountford will be running the Birmingham branch.
• Frank Griffin, northwest secretary of the United Road Transport Union, has been appointed general secretary elect. He will take over as general secretary when Jackson Moore resigns in April.
• Mike Williamson is the new northern sales representative for Montracon Trailers. He will be based at the company's Preston depot.
• Rentco has formed a national accounts management team with Peter Houghton and Tom Rickman as, respectively, south and north national accounts managers.
• Victor Barnes has taken over from Tony Capper as chief executive of ANC Holdings, which operates the British Parcel Service. David Boon has been promoted to group marketing director.
• Malcolm Ravenscroft has been appointed marketing director of United Transport Tankers; he will be based at Chepstow, Gwent.
• Linda Phelps has been promoted to district manager at Rentco's Barking depot. She has been with the company for 18 months.
