Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Biffa Waste Services has recently increased its £2 million worth of private waste collection business in Wales by a further £200,000 with the acquisition of Cardiff Waste.

It is now the region's largest waste contractor, strengthened by the addition of Cardiff Waste's customer base, including John Laing Construction, George Wimpey, McAlpines and Wales Gas.

Marketing and development director, Mitch Gears says: "The acquisition of Cardiff Waste is the latest move in a growth programme designed to make Biffa the largest UK contractor in waste disposal and cleansing services by the end of the 1980s."

Other recent acquisitions include the takeover of Brengreen, bringing Exclusive Cleaning Services and White Cross under the Biffa umbrella plus the additions of Bath Waste in Southampton and Pannell (Merchants) of London.
