Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

— a campaign to show how the later years of life offer many opportunities for older people to lead active, enriching lives which make a positive contribution to modern society.

Many of the people BEN helps and cares for — in their own homes and at its three residential centres — have fascinating memories of their working days in the motor, motor cycle, cycle, agricultural engineering and allied trades, BEN's contribution to "Celebrating Age" Year will be to tap this rich vein by mounting a mobile display illustrating how those who were actively involved in the Trades played an important role in their growth this century.

If any older readers who have links with these industries can loan us memorabilia such as photos, literature and artefacts of their working days for our display, we should be most grateful. Every care will be taken of loaned items which will be returned at the end of the year.

We plan to show our display at various motor-orientated venues through the year including fund-raising events at our three residential homes. These are: Alexandra House, Southport — May 3; Lynwood, Ascot, Berks — June 27; and Birch Hill near Berwick-uponTweed — July 18, where the display will be manned by our own residents and, at the first two events, a display of vintage vehicles will add the appropriate atmosphere.
