ixatei is an air-drying textured tish announced by Sonneborn td Rieck Ltd., which simulates atherette and can be applied at oduction speeds to metal or ood. It is air-dried or stoved and claimed to give a tough, gable, abrasion-resistant finish. le finish can be applied to autoobile trimming, furnishings, inelling, shopfittings, display inels, domestic ware and so on. Using the same material for )th undercoat and pattern foration, the new finishes have )od adhesion to metal, fibre)ard, hardboard, wood and miler surfaces. Finishes are unediately available in black, d and grey, and other colours in be matched if quantities stify special production. Alough the current range is intenK1 for interior use, variants are -icier development for outside )coration.

When Jaxatex is applied, an ldercoat is first mixed by adding ixa thinners to the basic matal. After spraying, a flash-off :riod of up to 5min is allowed, ;pendent on temperature, bere applying the finish coat. The itterned finish is now sprayed unthinned. The size and foration of the splutter pattern can

controlled by the spraying -essu re.
