• Having visited the site at the week-end, Mr, Richard Marsh, Minister of Transport, has written at length to Mr. J. Prior, MP, about the arrangements being made to deal with the breakdown of the swing bridge at Lowestoft. The Minister gives a reassurance that everything possible is being done to speed the repairs and hopes that the bridge may be back in use in about four weeks. It would not, he says, be feasible to complete a temporary vehicle bridge within this period.
