Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

dinnerdance at the Grand Hotel, Birmingham, on January 31. BARRING SLOGANS ON' I ENVELOPES

DECENTLY the use on envelopes of L‘a Conservative slogan was forbidden. A similar " principle " seems to be followed in connection with other slogans circulated in the same way.

For instance, it is reported by the RI-LA. that its Liverpool office has been using for some time past the slogan " Transport Nationalized Must Mean Industry Para.ysecl." and has recently been requested to discontinue this. A similar request has been made to one of the Association's members in Haddington, who, sine,. last May. has been using the slogan, "Road Transport. Be sure and sign the petition against nationalization "

The R.H.A. asks whether this is just another indication of the desire of the Government to keep the minds of the public off the contentious questions surrounding the Transport Bill until it is too late for the expression of any opinion that its members might be able to form on the subject if it were brought to their notice.
