• Following a request from a Danish operator, M&G has designed a 13.77m curtainsider capable of carrying 34 1,230:600mm Europa]lets at an overall height of 4.0m.
The Volumaker tri-axle semi has chamfered front corners. Its 13.35m side aperture and sliding side pillars enable pallets to be loaded through the sides, but the last two go in through the back doors which are fitted with double-knuckle hinges. Weight of the trailer is 8.44 tonnes. It cubes out at 100m3 with a shallow (76mm) neck section and an integral curtain fixing flange.
Its all-bolted body frame has a narrow, pre-stressed roof—the angular front end carries two pallets across the floor within the 2.04m swing limitation.
