• The IRTE's 25th annual conference and display is scheduled for 11-13 May at Telford. More than 300 firms have booked exhibition space.
• Laird Anglesey has acquired the UK licence for the Garwood front end loaders. Aspinall Specialist Vehicles will continue to make and mount the bodies but Laird will supply aftersales support.
• A Mercedes 1324 fire engine demonstrator with John Dennis tilting crew cab is also fitted with Angus's latest ladder stowage system. This allows them to be removed and replaced from ground level.
• Bolton Bodies of Kirby has supplied the curtainsider bodywork on five new Leyland Daf 65-series rigids for S.Cooper & Sons of Bollington.
• Following its acquisition by Manor Group, Locomotors (1993) has established itself at a new site in Bridgewater, Somerset. Its range of cash-intransit vehicles, bullion and security personnel carriers complements Manor's range of ballistic protected vehicles.
