Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN 11 PER CENT leap in demand for new coaches has helped Plaxtons increase its turnover by 31 per cent and pre-tax profit by 166 per cent.

Turnover climbed to £32.6m in the year to October 2, and pretax profit shot up from film to £2.9m. This was helped also by the higher specifications laid down for many of the coaches supplied.

The Reeve Burgess subsidiary turned a £176,000 loss into an £8,000 profit.

Early orders from public sector customers have helped maintain progress during the winter, but it reported "some reluctance" from private sector customers to commit themselves to buying new coaches.
