Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

GEORGE PEARSON, editor of Road Way, the Road Haulage Association's monthly magazine, retires next month after 14 years with the paper.

His career in journalism has been much longer, and included. a temporary spell on the staff of Commercial Motor in the midsixties when he undertook a series of two-part regional surveys of freight, passenger and shipping companies and trade associations across the country.

George's first love was cycling, and he spent most of his career in journalism in that field, but his service at CM led former CM editor Arthur SherlockMesher to invite him to become assistant editor of Road Way in July 1969. He succeeded Arthur in the editor's chair in April 1978.

The CM connection lives on as George's current assistant, former CM technical editor and subsequently Motor Trader editor Steve Gray is now in charge of Road Way.
