IMPORTED vepicles grabbed 14 per cent of all commercial vehicle registrations last month according to figures issued this week. They also show that Ford is still heading the tables of home vehicle sales.

Figures issued by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders show that sales of commercial vehicles rose by five per cent during November to 18,249 but over the 11 months of this year the figures have fallen by 5.5 per cent to 192,252.

Overall market leader for both November and the year, so far, is Ford who pushed sales in November up from 5,565 last year to 6,296 last month.

Nearest rivals were Leyland whose production fell by 104 trucks to 4,766 — 26.12 per cent of the market.

New registrations of imported vehicles went up from 9.8 per cent to 14 per cent of the market. Over the 11 months of this year the im porters' share of the market has risen from 11.3 per cent to 13.95 per cent.

MAN registrations were the only ones not to have increased their sales over the November 1975 figures.

But at the heavy end of the market Volvo scored success in the first 11 months of the year with 2,515 registrations against 2,132 in the same period last year.
