• Bus Eireann and Ulsterbus began a daily express coach service between Dublin and Belfast on Monday, the first such service since the 1930s.
Three journeys a day each way operate on weekdays and two on Sundays, calling at Dublin Airport, Drogheda, Dundalk, Newry and Banbridge.
Bus Eireann says that it is in a different market from the rail service and does not see the new service as competing.
