• Parcels carrier Nightfreight has taken its first step into Europe with an agreement with Anglo-Dutch operator Twente Express.
Twente will provide Nightfreight with a distribution service throughout the Netherlands which will link daily with the parcel firm's West Midlands hub in Willenhall.
Talks are under way with other European operators to create a European parcel distribution network. Nightfreight has no plans to operate its own vehicles on the Continent.
Twente Express operates 10 vehicles from its headquarters in Lichfield in Staffordshire and has depots in Goes, Zwanenburg, Enschede and Eindhoven in Holland.
Nightfreight provides overnight and 48-hour parcel and freight deliveries throughout the UK. It has 25 depots and a fleet of 500 vehicles.
