THE terminal of Scottish Omnibuses, Ltd., in Clyde Street, Edinburgh, should be completed within a few weeks. When it is in operation, no services will start from St. Andrews Square and adjoining streets, and the city will have a 'proper bus station for the first time.

Layout of the station is in the form of a series of terraced runways linked by underground passages and protected by overhead canopies. There is a separate area for coaches.

VAUXHALL DEMANDS FLAGGING

A REDUCTION in output schedules PA had been necessitated by a further downward trend in demands, it was reported at last week's meeting of Vauxhall Motors works management advisory committee, which comprises representatives of management and employees.

This decline means that the number of workpeople surplus to requirements will be greater than contemplated a month ago, and it is expected that the total will probably now be about 1,500 people.

ABERDEEN "OUT OF THE RED" WHEREAS three years ago Aberdeen VY Transport Department had a deficit of well over £100,000, the undertaking has now wiped out its losses. At the end of 1954-55, the deficit stood at £19,717. Now the department has a reserve of £28,915.
