previous version sounds like stating the obvious. However. the Italian manufacturer has taken steps in recent years to improve the quality and usability of its product, and in the Punto's case. this advancement is plain to see.
Small vans may not take the big sates prizes in the LCV sector, but those that are called upon need to perform with enough distinction to provide the driver with a comfortable environment to work in and on this note, the Fiat succeeds.
It's easy to drive thanks in part to that engine white the cabin is practical and eyebrow-raisingly well built.
We don't, however, approve of the driver's seat, and the less-than-perfect driving position, and there's also the not-inconsiderable fact that residuals are some way off the best in class.
Gripes aside, we did like the Grande Punta. Its individual character, and, more importantly, improved quality demonstrate that Fiat is now competing more strongly than ever with the leaders of the pack.
