Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Bristol agricultural haulier JE Clark & Co (Transport) Is pulling out of road transport after 30 years—a move that will make 22 drivers redundant.

Yate-based JE Clark, which started business in the early '70s, has been involved in the transport and storage of animal foods and grain.

Director Jeremy Clark says it was a "considered decision" due to the state of farming, which has led to a downturn in demand.

We are aligned to the agricultural industry and these are quiet times." says Clark. The company is putting its vehicle and trailer fleet up for auction through auctioneer Malcolm Harrison on Saturday 26 April. Lots include a Daf 95XF Space Cab and 856f -380 high cab tractor.

The 22 drivers will be made redundant along with around 13 other employees, including workshop staff.

• Floyd Haulage, based in Elm near Wisbech, is also withdrawing from the haulage business due to the ill health of managing director David Floyd.

Six drivers will be made redundant as a result of the closure. The company's main business was bulk distribution of potatoes.

Six trucks and around 25 trailers will be auctioned by OVA on 26 April at the company's premises.
