Albion Motors Expansion: Albion Motors Ltd., Glasgow, is to spend more than Elm. on an expansion project ; it Ls almost certain that the company will go ahead with the 1,100-jobs Dumbarton factory, which was shelved two years ago. Albion will also spend between Ulm. and £2m. on the final expansion of its existing works, using the last 31 acres of land available at the site. After that, the company will site future expansion on the 200-acre Gooseholrn Farm, near Dumbarton. The present Glasgow works, built in 1903, will get a new chassis assembly shop.

S.M.T. Edinburgh Depot Opened : S.M.T. Sales and Service Co. Ltd., main dealers for Vauxhall and Bedford throughout Scotland and North West England, have opened their new commercial vehicle and bodybuilding depot at Roseburn Street, Edinburgh, completely reconstructed at a cost of nearly £250,000. This is a major step in a big development programme (the company's Kirkcaldy depot is now nearing completion and plans for Dundee and Aberdeen are already well advanced) representing a capital outlay of around Elm.
