MR. BARRY DAY has been appointed a director of the Willenhall Motor Radiator Co., Ltd.
MR HUGH R. PETERS, a general manager of Kerry's (Great Britain), Ltd., has been appointed a director.
MR. W. J. DAVIS, formerly works manager of Park Royal Vehicles, Ltd., has joined Strachans (Successors), Ltd., as general manager.
Ma. A. E. BREWER has been elected chairman and MR. J. J. NEWBURY vicechairman of the South Wales Area of the Passenger Vehicle Operators' Association.
MR. T. STUART MALCOLM has been elected president of the Motor Agents' Association in succession to MR. HAROLD A. SMITH, who has become deputy president.
SIR HARRY PILKINGTON has been elected president of the Federation of British Industries in succession to SIR ARCHIBALD FORBES, Sir Harry is chairman of Triplex (Northern), Ltd., and of Pilkington Bros., Ltd.
MR. C. H. SCHMIDT, service manager of the Avon India Rubber Co., Ltd., has retired after 44 years' service with the company. He will, however, continue to fill an advisory role until September to assist his successor, MR H. E. GUNSTONE, who joined Avon in 1928.
MR, ARTHUR WINKLES is to retire from the secretaryship of the Austin Motor Co., Ltd., a position he has held for 25 years. His successor will be MR. S. J. WHEELER, chief cost accountant and deputy secretary, who is also joint secretary of the British Motor Corporation. He joined the Austin concern in 1920.
