Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• DGB Scenery of Enfield, Middlesex, has put the first low-decked Cargo 1718-based Thrudek six-wheeler on the road.

The Thrudek conversion, developed by Southworth Chassis Engineering, was first seen at the Institute of Road Transport Engineers show in May.

Plated at 19 tonnes GVW, the tag-axled 6x2 rigid is powered by Cummins' 127kW (170hp) 6BTA 5.9-litre diesel. It drives through an Eaton 4106 six-speed gearbox and four-piece propshaft to the non-standard Eaton 15199 (now the 0818) single reduction drive axle with diff-lock.

Standard parabolic suspension at the front is supplemented by Southworth trailing arm Nuway pneumatics with raise/lower and tag air dump facility.

Front brakes are twin wedge with two leading shoes. At the rear Southworth has used Lucas Girling 250mm diameter disc brakes on both axles, to accommodate the use of 444.5mni (17.5in) tyre equipment. Bodied by Evenstar Bodies of Waltham Cross the deck height is maintained at only 890mm.
