Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Fordturbo power

10% more horsepower than the average major competitive engines... 150 bhp at 2400 rpm and 349 lb-ft torque at 1800 rpm! The new Ford Turbo 360 will give more efficiency in tipping operations and faster deliveries . . . stop-start or especially long-haul. Gear changing is reduced and for some operators the necessity of a 2-speed axle is eliminated.

Fordturbo durability

The turbo-designed, turbocharged 360 cubic-inch six-cylinder Ford diesel engine is the outcome of eight years' experience in the design and building of turbo engines. It is thoroughly proved, thoroughly reliable and built to last. Most major components have

been designed uniquely to accommodate the increased power that turbocharging gives. Ford engineering 'know-how' and product expertise have produced an engine with considerably more horsepower yet which is governed at only 2400 rpm.

Low piston speed provides durability: this has been proved in industrial applications where the Ford turbocharged engines have been in actual operation for over three years, completing an eight-year development programme. These engines have already won a good reputation with operators all over the world for toughness and dependability.

Fordturbo economy

Improved breathing, reduced rpm and better scavenging gives far greater efficiency.

Increased brake horsepower, torque and fuel economy over popular competitive engines bring savings in operating costs.

Fordturbo cleanliness Normally-aspirated engines have an air/fuel ratio of between II and 13 to 1. The Ford Turbo 360 increases this air/fuel ratio to between 23 and 26 to I. This provides more effective and more efficient combustion, thereby making fuller use of the fuel. Elimination of unburnt fuel reduces smoke emission to a bare minimum. The Turbo 360 meets all known smoke emission legislative requirements.
