by Juliet Parish MI The decision last week by Channel Tunnel operator Eurotunnel to ban up to a third of all hazardous loads could discourage groupage operators from using the service.
The Freight Transport Association says operators may shun Le Shuttle altogether rather than have to go through the lengthy process of separating banned and allowed goods. The code is estimated to prohibit outright about 15% of the annual cross-Channel hazardous freight.
