Products Group companies at the Commer. cial Motor Show are Lockheed cam-operatec drum brakes and a Borg and Beck twin-plate diaphragm-spring clutch.

The earn brakes are available in two sizes15.25 in. and 15.5 in.—and they can be providee with shoes from 5 in. to 9 in. wide with lining thicknesses from 0.5 in. (parallel) to 0.75 in (tapered).

The introduction by Borg and Beck of the new clutch—the unit is still reported to be in the development stage—will mean that this is the first time that a twin-plate diaphragm-spring type will be available for medium-weight commercial vehicles. The design is intended for 5to 9-ton vehicles; diameter is 10.5 in. and maximum torque capacity is 300 lb. ft.
