Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALAST-MINUTE decision has been made by Seddon Diesel Vehicles Ltd. to offer a 15-ton gross version of the 13:four and to exhibit an example at the Commercial Motor Show which opens today. This has been done because the regulations require that with full fuel, sheets and driver, vehicles must not exceed their plated gross weight and to obtain a 10-ton payload on the 13:four a gross weight of at least 15 tons is needed.

It will be remembered that at the beginning of August Seddon uprated the 13:four from 13.25 tons to 14 tons and there have been a number of major modifications to meet this second increase in g.v.w. rating, notably the use of a two-speed rear axle. A 14 ft. 8 in. wheelbase chassis is exhibited on the Seddon stand.
