Details of a Comprehensive Publication Produced by a Go-ahead Scottish Concern.

TO relieve road passengers of worry and to provide reliable information of all modes of present-day transport, Thomson's Tours, Ltd., of Glasgow, has recently issued a comprehensive guide, which has been mailed to all parts of the British Isles. It is not merely a summer-time publication, being of valm all the year round. The publication comprises over 350 pages, and, quite apart from its usefulness as a travel guide, it illustrates the vast nature of the business conducted by this travel house.

It is a valuable addition to the " Cometo-Scotland " publicity movement, but, more important still, it is a clear and concise indication of what can be seen, and how holidays can be spent, by motor coach. Perhaps more truly in Scotland than in any. other part of the British Isles does the motor coach provide the ideal means for sight-seeing, and, in furtherance of his object in offering, the tourist every opportunity for visiting historical and beautiful spots, Mr. Thomson has left nothing undone in the compilation of his booklet.

Regular daily services from Glasgow form an integral part of the business of the company and are dealt with in a separate section. Day and half-day tours to the Trossachs, Oban and the .western highlands, the Burns country, the Scott country and the royal highlands, to mention only a few of the more popular districts, are set out toether with small-scale maps of the route followed and a full list of centres to be visited. A considerable part of the publicatie is devoted to extended tours. Descrii tions of three, four, five and up 1 14-day tours to England and Wales, eac with notes on the points of interest e route, give the potential traveller splendid idea of the service offerei Pride of place among the extended tom , at home is given to a special Scottis tour, occupying seven days, at a cost 112 10s.
