PLANS to introduce a one-vu traffic system in central Ed burgh appear to safeguard t interests of commercial vehil operators, according to t Freight Transport Association The projected scheme, whi could be in operation in arou 18 months, will mean th Princes Street will hand westbound traffic only. An FTA Scottish spokesm explained that the schen appears to safeguard vehicl loading and unloading, althou, there is some concern about t suitability of some lanes behii Princes Street which are tended for that purpose.
