Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO SPECIALIST conferences are being organised by the Road Haulage Association for next year, one for tanker operators, the other for Eastern district members.

The tanker functional group is taking advantage of the longrunning tipping convention — Tipcon — which is being held again at Harrogate from May 20 to 22 next year, and is planning its own convention and exhibition at the Granby Hotel, two miles away.

Prominent speakers are being engaged to deal with specialist subjects, and there also will be a dinner dance at the Granby Hotel. In addition, delegates will be able to attend some of the Tipcon social events.

A major aim of the conference will be to give tanker operators a greater presence in the eyes of the public.

And the Eastern district of the RHA is planning another conference, which will be held on January 7 at Churchill College, Cambridge.

The conference will be chaired by former RHA national chairman Ken Rogers, and will include as speakers R. A. Huskisson of Lloyd's Register of Shipping (on hgv test stations), British Road Federation director Ken Cannell, P&O European Transport director Ted Heins, and a speaker from Scania.

Bookings can be made through Eastern district manager Ken Williams at Roadway House, Godesdone Road, Cambridge.
