SCOTTISH Secretary George Younger agrees that there is a case for cross-subsidising some bus services where they are so essential.
He said this in response to the Commons Scottish affairs committee report on rural transport, but added that objectors Would have to demonstrate the extent of cross-subsidisation, and the extent to which it would be damaged if a rival application was granted..
