FUEL SAVINGS of five to 20 per cent are claimed for a fuel treatment which is marketed by Nlainstate Holdings of Alton, Hampshire.
The F20 is a derivative of F20 Marine, which has been developed initially for use by the shipping industry. Mixed with fuel in bulk at a ratio of one to 1,000, the treatment is said to reduce the surface tension of the fuel, promoting finer atomisation within the combustion chamber.
Solvent organic chemicals in
the product prevent the formation of sludge or carbon throughout the fuel system while allowing a more complete combustion process.
Partway International of Newport, which operates a fleet of around 50 vehicles, has conducted independent tests and is showing savings of about 18 per cent.
