Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FIVE SENIOR posts have been created in the National Freight Consortium's parcels group which manages Roadline UK and National Carriers' parcels division.

Dick Durran, managing director of National Carriers' Parcels Division, has become the new group's assistant managing director.

Bob Spence becomes finance director, with Geoff Jenkins personnel director, Roger Trigell marketing director, and Vic Scrivener engineering director. All four hold similar positions with Roadline, which they will retain.

Both parcels companies will continue to operate as separate entities, and NFC has, as yet, no plans to merge them.

Mr Spence joined the NFC main finance staff in 1980. He became financial controller of Roadline at the end of last year.

Mr Jenkins joined Roadline in 1980 as the executive manager of the company's personnel functions.

Mr Trigell joined Roadline in 1978 as head of marketing. He was previously with BRS, where he was responsible for the development and management of transport consultancy and distribution services.

Mr Scrivener joined Roadline as director of engineering and property five months ago.
