ANEW Commer light delivery van and a fight pick-up were announced by Ccmmer Cars, Ltd., Luton, on Monday. The delivery van is an all-steel version of the Commer 25-cwt. forward-control vehicle, in which is incorporated a number of refinements.
The front-end styling now falls into line with the modern trend, being broad and flat, with an inset panel carrying the radiator grille and semi-flush headlamps. The all-steel body, of just over 300-cu.-ft. capacity, has flush-fitting sliding doors at the front and full-width hinged doors at the rear: A full-forward-control positionfor the driver, combined with a two-piece windscreen of generous area and glazed rear doors, makes., for excellent allround visibility.
A feature of the chassis specification B14
is the use of a four-speed syncromesh gearbox in conjunction with a 50 b.h.p. petrol engine embodying full-length chromium-finished bdres.
