WITH the object of reducing operating costs, Walsall Transpott Committee have proposed that a clause be inserted in the Walsall Corporation Bill to make it possible for pre-payment fare kiosks to be set up at various stops along certain routes. Conductors would have the right to refuse entry to persons who had not bought a ticket.
The general purposes committee have approved this suggestion, but it yet has to be sanctioned by the council.
