RESOLUTION from Blackpool Corporation submitted to a meeting re Association of Municipal Corlions in London, last week, asked ;trong representations to be made the statutory definition of the s, special occasion," in the Road ic Act, 1930.
ickpool pointed out that a special non within the meaning of the Act be special to the locality to which ourney was made, and not special just to the travellers. This, so far as Blackpool and other seaside towns in particular were concerned, was serious.
In submitting the resolution, the Association's law committee stated that they supported an amendment of the law in this respect and had informed the Thesiger Committee.
