LAST Saturday, representatives of 15 I-4 nations signed an international convention creating a permanent Conference of European Ministers of Transport, with headquarters in Paris. The United States and Canada also signed the convention as associate members.
The conference will consist of a council of Ministers and a committee of deputies. One of its objects is to further the maximum use and most rational development of European in land transport of international importance. Another purpose is to promote the activities of international organizations concerned with European inland transport.
