Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

On Thursday of last week three further sections of the Barnet by-pass were opened, including the section at Mill Hill, where the Barnet and Wat ford by-pass coalesce. The sections now completed are as follow :— 1. The Barnet by-pass, from the Middlesex-Harts county boundary to Selvage Lane, Mill Hill.

2. The joint section of the Barnet and Watford by-passes from Daws

Lane, Mill Hill, to Hall Lane, Hendon, including a reinforced concrete Bridge over Bunn's Lane and the Edgware branch of the London and North Eastern Railway..

3. The Barnet by-pass, from the North Circular Road at Regent's Park Road, Finchley, to the Great North Road at Highgate.

The portions just opened have been constructed as part of the Ministry of Transport's arterial road programme by the Middlesex County Council. The cost of the works from north of Hatfield to Highgate is approximately £1,150,000. The new roads are 100 ft. with a carriageway 30 ft.wide The opportunity has been taten for laying experimental sections of various types of cement concrete surfacing in order to ascertain the durability and non-slip qualities of each.
