Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The EC has ordered Renault to repay French Government aid worth £1,200 million because it has failed to cut back its production capacity. The company had promised to be building 15% fewer cars by the end of 1989 and 30% fewer CVs by the end of 1990. EC competition commissioner Sir Leon Brittan says that Renault will manage only a 4% cut for cars and 9% for CVs.

Mail takes-off

• The Royal Mail has officially opened its Heathrow air cargo depot, which has been doubled in size to 7,000m2, and doubled in capacity from two million packages to four million a day. The £6 million base is due to be running at full capacity by the end of 1999.

Royal Mail vehicles will make about 300 runs out of the site every week.
