EWest Midlands-based Sea Products has taken delivery of its fifth Transliner reeferbodied twin-steer Volvo FL617 from Volvo distributor and chassis engineer Hartshorne Motor Services of Walsall.
The 7.6m freezer body made of GRP/polyurethane panels from Carrosserie Oubineau of France, is fitted with a Frigoblock truckengine-driven FK13 unit which is capable of reaching temperatures of —40'C.
Plated at 23 tonnes, the 6.5m-wheelbase rigid with its second steer axle set 1.75m behind the front wheels offers a 13-tonne-plus payload and overcomes axle overloading problems due to SP's diminishing payload operation.
