• Boalloy has started a refurbish/re-engineering scheme for selected secondhand Tautliners to meet the 1 January deadline on 16.5m artics.
It will buy-in suitable used semis for re-build, then programme them through its new £250,000 shotblast/ finishing plant. Boalloy, which was recently awarded the BS5750 quality awarded for its Tautliner system, is also importing newlength Pacton trailers from Holland through its Dutch subsidiary, Tauntliner Europa BV. Early production tri-axle air-suspended versions will be available by the end of January.
