A TWIN-wheel version of 'whir, Rubery Owen-Rockwell's independent air suspension for trailers, is shown in the UK for the first time.

The product follows the lines of the single-wheel Indair, introduced earlier this year. It incorporates narrower trailing arms and shorter cross members partially offsetting the increase in weight.

At less than 500kg per axle the twinwheeled Indair is no heavier than a standard mechanical three-leaf suspension. On show is an assembly featuring 350mm brakes and ROR's 350/BMX stub axles aimed specifically at high-volume step-deck trailers where low profile tubeless tyres are used.

The 340nun low loader brakes are claimed to maintain similar cooling clearance as standard 420min brakes, avoiding heat generation at high speeds.

Alongside the new twin-wheeled version the original single-wheel Indair system is also shown.
