CONSTRUCTION of Daf Trucks' new British headquarters at Thame, Oxfordshire, begins next spring.
The company's managing director, Roger Phillips, said this here today when he confirmed that planning permission problems are now "almost resolved".
"This new 10-acre, 1:7 million facility will see us into the 1990s and beyond. We believe the investment amply illustrates our real long-term commitment to this marketplace," he said.
He expects the company's new ATi models, officially launched in Britain this week, to take Dal's share of the British market over 16 tonnes beyond the 10.6 per cent achieved now.
